With all due respect to the folks who wrote the title of Mr. Finley’s column, I need to re-interpret the colloquialism “get grip on economy” to more accurately reflect reality. It is contained in Mr. Finley’s column.

Reagan’s success secret was unshackling the private marketplace. Obama chose the opposite path, and the result is stagnation and insecurity.

The political class has too-tight a grip on the economy.  The regulations, laws, spending, tax tinkering all create an unfavorable environment in which to live.
